Hollis Supply is named after Hollis, Alaska a small town tucked into Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska. It's a place we know well. Every year, we head up there with a group of close friends to fish the waters that make that part of the world unlike anywhere else. Remote, rugged, and real. That spirit is baked into everything we do.

Hollis Supply was born out of a simple frustration: businesses and workers in Southeast Alaska had almost no good options when it came to sourcing building materials and industrial supplies. If you've ever tried to get what you need shipped to a remote corner of the Pacific Northwest, you know the problem, limited selection, unreliable logistics, and suppliers who weren't built with you in mind.

We set out to fix that. Our original mission was to bring quality building materials and supplies directly to the people and businesses of Southeast Alaska who had been underserved for too long.

As we built Hollis Supply from the ground up, something became clear: the problem wasn't just regional. Across the country, industrial and safety supply purchasing was stuck in the past with clunky ordering processes, slow fulfillment, and customer service that treated buyers like an afterthought.

We saw an opportunity to do something different. By going online-only, we could reach a national audience without the overhead of brick-and-mortar locations. We invested in technology, built deep integrations with our vendor network, and focused on creating the kind of responsive, knowledgeable customer service that the industry had been missing.
