PermeaTex Straw and Excelsior blankets are erosion control blankets consisting of either 100% certified weed-free straw or Aspen wood excelsior matrix. These blankets are available in either single or double sided netting options comprised of either UV stabilized synthetic or biodegradable netting. Most commonly straw or excelsior blankets are utilized in erosion control applications such as shoreline or embankment stabilization, slope reinforcement, and channel or swale erosion control protection, with the primary function of helping to stabilize and reinforce soil until vegetation is established.
